Tulaberry Farm sits next to the Little Slocan River about 30 minutes from the towns of Nelson and Castlegar in the West Kootenay Region of south-eastern British Columbia. At an elevation of about 500 metres, the farm is sheltered in the Valhalla Range of the Selkirk Mountains.

Tulaberry Farm is certified organic by the Kootenay Organic Growers Society. Main crops include strawberries, raspberries, garlic and pastured poultry. We also raise beef cows and layer hens, along with a market garden and fruit orchard. We sell produce, jams and juices to private customers, the terrific Kootenay Co-op Store and at the fabulous Farmers’ Market in Nelson.

Pastured poultry is a big part of our operation. For five years we ran a provincially-licensed poultry abattoir on the farm, which will continue on-site in the 2017 season under a new operator.

In 2013 we worked with BC Wildlife Federation to create a wetland that will encourage wildlife. You can see photos of the wetland construction here.

From time to time, we welcome volunteers to stay at the farm, working and learning with us.We also host workshops and engage with our active local farming community.
